Stainless Steel Welded Hose Assemblies
Welded Stainless Steel hose assemblies for the rail industry
These can be over braided (either single or double) depending on operating pressures and are constructed using closely woven grade 316 stainless steel wire, ideal for demanding applications that involve extremely high working pressures.
Tidyco Stainless Steel Welded Hose offers; outstanding flexibility, protection of sensitive cables, tough insulation, colour coding, and the ability to multi-layer hoses into a single outer hose. Special anti-scuff protection, hand protectors and spring guards are also available.
Stainless Steel Welded hose assemblies are made up of three major parts: metal hose, overbraid and end fittings. Assemblies achieve several objectives in pipework design: to absorb vibration, suppress rigid pipe transmitted noise, accommodate reciprocating and flexing movement and adjust or correct for minor misalignment.
Manufacture Welded Stainless Steel Hose
The Stainless Steel Welded hose body provides the flexible and pressure tight core of the assembly. The pitch of the welded hose can be varied to achieve performance requirements in both flexibility and pressure rating. The object of the braid is to prevent elongation. Braid is made of stainless steel wire, woven such that the line pressure produces braid tension which provides radical and axial constraint. Multiple braided assemblies accommodate higher pressures.
- Pressure; Maximum working pressures are up to 6000 psi, dependant upon size and operating conditions.
- Temperature; Assemblies, dependent upon construction and design, will operate from -200°C through to 600°C.
