The Swimmey series are self-priming, swimming pool pumps with plastic bodies and single impellers.  They have 416 stainless steel shafts, which are fitted with single mechanical seals and have TEFV, IP55 motors, but neither power leads nor switches are supplied.  They are designed for pumping chlorinated water at a maximum temperature of 40ºC, and can handle small soft solids in suspension.  They should not be allowed to run dry.  They have the added features of multi-directional barrel unions, to assist installation, and removable filter baskets for catching hair and leaves.  Maximum recommended suction lift, with a foot valve, is 3 metres.
