1. HOW MUCH POWER DO YOU NEED ?

You need to choose a portable generator model which will cope with the maximum power output that you estimate you are likely to require at any particular time. this involves calculating the maximum load of all electrical equipment connected at the same time. We provide a handy Generator Selector to help you do this. If you oversize your generator you will be carrying more weight and paying more than you need to. If you undersize your generator you will not have sufficient power to run the equipment you need at the same time.

2. HOW QUIET ?

If you are intending to use the generator in noise sensitive locations such as camping sites etc. you should look at the super quiet models available. All our generators show the noise level in decibels, making it easier for you to choose.

Honda EX7

The super light Honda EX7 generator is extremely portable (at only 12kg) as well as fuel efficient, running up to 5 hours on a single tank of Petrol. This easy starting generator produces only 58dB of sound at 7 meters running at full load, which is less than common speech. To prevent any possible damage to the unit, the Oil Alert will shut the unit off when the oil drops below a safe operating level. The unit also has a DC terminal for use when charging 12-volt automotive type batteries. The available power is commonly used for the following typical electric device:

• Fans, TV, Radios
• Small Power Tools i.e. 1/4" drill
• Small Kitchen Appliances (i.e. Blender)

Honda EU10i

The super quiet Honda EU10i generator is extremely portable (at only 29 lbs.) as well as fuel efficient, running up to 8.3 hours on a single tank of Petrol when used with the Eco-Throttle feature.
